Today I was able to make two clients happy, so I guess that counts as a good day.

My client suddenly needed to move a small ASP site from an old ISP to [a hosting company].
The hosting contract had run out for that old host, and we didn't want to renew it.

But when we moved the files to [the new hosting company], the CFMAIL tag on my single ColdFusion page wouldn't work. ([the new hosting company] had promised that all CF would work fine on their
servers.)

What could I do? [the hosting company] doesn't give out its phone number to clients, and I couldn't access the CF admin to check the mail settings. I could've emailed them, but the site had to be moved today, and my client was going to be unavailable after noon.

I decided that Edge could do it, and you proved me right.

CF Webtools works with about 5 major ColdFusion hosting companies. They are all names you would recognize and they are the names that always "pop-up" on the CF lists when someone is looking for hosting. We have clients hosting with each of them - some of them on shared and some on dedicated servers. Edgeweb is one of those 5 names and we have 3 customers using you for hosting (2 with dedicated servers).

I just want to compliment you on your professionalism and the way you take care of your customers. The support team is very knowledgeable and responsive. They are rarely stumped. Our recent switch of a very important and busy site from a competitors server was flawless and it went off without a significant problem. In fact we estimate that the entire site was off-line for a grand total of 7 minutes (while we moved the data). That's pretty remarkable. On the competitors systems the site would time out about 20 to 30 times a day - mostly due lag from the DB server. Since the move we are down to NO timeouts. We haven't seen one for several days. For folks in our business that is very good news and a real load off of our mind.

Yesterday you set-up dns web and mail entries for ccgov.org (Cecil County's domain) in an emergency situation. The county mail and web were down because of an error that occurred when the domain registrar was changed by the county. Your rapid response to my request minimized what was a very serious situation, given that governments operate emergency medical services, etc.

site up and running. After putting the code on their server I ran into a

published to published, another 10 to make it available to the whole
